So we headed over to Funabashi today. Funabashi station is still part of Chiba and we went so we could transit over to Minami Funabashi to visit Lalaport shopping mall. First we met with my wife's best friend in Funabashi where we decided to visitn their Ramen Dori (Street) and eat some yummy ramen. It was busy but we were able to get in and have some amazing fish based shoyu ramen. I had regular ramen while my wife is always a fan of tsukemen which is ramen soup in a bowl then the noodles on the side and you dip the noodles in the soup rather than eat right out of the soup. Pictures below.
After ramen we grabbed dessert as always at Beard Papa's Pipin Hot Cream Puffs which specializes in one of the most delicious choux cremes (taken from the French word for cream puffs, Choux a la creme) in Japan. Their trademark product is a choux pastry shell filled with whipped cream custard, available in vanilla, chocolate,
and specialty flavors such as green tea, strawberry, pumpkin, Earl Grey
Tea, Pumpkin, Èclair, and coffee. The different flavors are sold on a
rotating schedule. You can actually find Beard Papa's in Hawaii and California as well so be sure to check it out. After dessert we headed over to Lalaport which was absolutely massive for a day of shopping.
